Tütenweise Bastelmaterial!
Bei uns in Nottuln gibt es einmal im Jahr einen Warentauschtag. Der funktioniert so: am Tag vorher bringt man all die Dinge, die man nicht mehr braucht aber zu schade für die Mülltonne sind, zur Schule. Ein supernettes Helferteam nimmt die Sachen entgegen und stellt sie auf den Tischen der Schulmensa aus. Am nächsten Tag darf man wiederkommen und sich etwas aussuchen. Ich finde diese Aktion jedes Mal wieder richtig spannend – was man da alles zu sehen bekommt! Unglaublich irre Blumenvasen, Porzellan, Likörgläschen und Plastikblumen. Haushalts- und Dekokram in allen Farben und Formen… Aber manchmal eben auch seltene oder richtig praktische Dinge wie zum Beispiel einen Kirschenentsteiner, hübsche Körbe oder Bilderrahmen. Auf diese Art finden viele Dinge ein neues Heim und landen nicht auf der Müll. Selbst wenn zuhause gerade nichts fehlt, macht es riesigen Spaß, einen Blick auf dieses bunte Sammelsurium zu werfen. Und für Menschen, die gern basteln kann so ein Warentauschtag eine wahre Fundgrube sein. Also für mich! Ruckzuck war meine Tasche voll. Besonders spannend fand ich die Ladenhüter: hölzerne Gardinenringe und Gardinenstangenhalter. Die gab es tütenweise und niemand wollte sie. Ich bin nun auch nicht so ein Gardinen-Fan aber zum Basteln sind die Ringe bestimmt klasse! Also habe ich mir die Tüten geschnappt und in meine Materialsammlung gepackt.

Bags full of craft material!
In my village once a year we have a day to swap goods. It works like this: the day before, you bring all those things that you do’nt use anymore to the school. A kind team of helpers places all the things on the tables of the school cafeteria. And then the next day you come back and choose something you need. I love this exchange day! You get to see incredible things: crazy flower vases, porcellain, drinking glasses and plastic flowers. Household things and decoration in all colors and forms … But also rare or practical things such as a cherry stoner, nice baskets or picture frames. Things that are not in use find a new home and don’t end up in the trash. Even if nothing is missing at home, it is good fun to take a look at this colorful collection. And for people who like to tinker, the goods swap day can be a veritable treasure trove. So for me! Too soon my bag was filled. A thing I found particularly exciting but nobody wanted: wooden curtain rings. Little bags full of rings… I am no curtain fan at all but for crafting the rings could definitely be a great deal! In the end I grabbed the little bags and brought them to my material storage.

Bolsitas llenas de material!
En mi pueblo una vez al año hay un día de intercambiar bienes. Funciona así: el día anterior, todos los que quieren traen cosas que ya no necesitan a la escuela. Un equipo de ayudantes simpáticos meten todas las cosas en las mesas de la cafetería. Y luego al día siguiente vuelves y eliges lo que te puede servir. Así las cosas sin uso encuentran un nuevo hogar y no acaban en la basura. Me encanta este día de cambio! Tienes la oportunidad de ver unas cosas de increíbles diseños: floreros, vasos para beber y flores de plástico. Cosas del hogar y de decoración en todos los colores y formas … Pero tambien cosas útiles: un sacahuesos para las cerezas, cestas bonitas o marcos para colgar fotos. Incluso si no te falta nada en casa este evento es muy divertido para echar un vistazo a la colección de cosas curiosas. Y para las personas DIY el día de intercambio de bienes puede ser un verdadero tesoro. Así que para mí! Pronto mi bolso se llenaba a tope. Una cosa que me llamó la atención, pero nadie quería: unas bolsitas de plástico llenas de anillos de madera para colgar cortinas. Bolsas llenas de anillos qué nadie quería! Tampoco soy muy fan de cortinas, pero para hacer manualidades los anillos podrían ser geniales! Así que agarró loas bolsitas y los trajo a mi almacen de materiales.
Zum Spielen sind die Gardinenringe schon mal prima, zum Beispiel als leckeres Gebäck für den Kaufladen… /// Great to be used as delicious pastries for pretend play… /// Genial como deliciosos pastelitos para el juego imaginario.
Und jippieh: inzwischen habe ich auch schon eine kleine Bastelidee dazu! Die verrate ich euch im nächsten Mitmach-Kukuk… Vielleicht stöbert ihr ja auch noch irgendwo alte Gardinenringe auf und bastelt mit? Bis bald!
