Bilder stempeln mit Moosgummi, Bauklötzen, Knöpfen und Co!
Der kleine Hase Tabalet
Schaut mal, dieses Bilderbuch habe ich beim Sortieren meiner Illustrationsarbeiten wiedergefunden. Es enstand im Herbst 2015 als Märchen-Schulheft für das Editorial Cruïlla aus Barcelona. Lustigerweise nachdem ich mein erstes Kreativbuch, ein Stempelbastelbuch geschrieben hatte. Davon wussten die bei Cruïlla aber nichts. Sie hatten andere Stempelarbeiten von mir gesehen und angefragt, ob ich die Illustrationen für das Märchen mit Stempeln umsetzen könnte.

Little rabbit Tabalet – stamping images with foam rubber, building blocks, buttons and other bits!
Look, I found this picture book while sorting out my illustration works. I created the images for this fairytale booklet in fall 2015 for the editorial Cruïlla from Barcelona. Funny enough, after writing my first kidscraft book which was about making stamps and prints. But they did not know anything about that. They had seen other stamping works made by me and asked if I could do some illustrations for a fairytale booklet using this technique.

En Tabalet – estampar imágenes con goma eva, bloques de madera y otras cositas
Mira, encontré este librito ilustardo organizando mis trabajos de ilustración. Hice las imágenes de este cuento en el otoño de 2015 para el editorial Cruïlla de Barcelona. Bastante gracioso, era justo despúes de acabr mi primer libro de manualidades que trataba de como hacer sellos. Pero del editoial no sabían nada de eso. Querian ilustraciones realizadas con alguna tecnica de estampación para ilustrar el cuento del Tabalet.
In Einzelteile zerlegte Figuren
Letzendlich habe ich für die Bilder die Figuren und Objekte der Geschichte aus Moosgummi geschnitten, auf Bauklötze geklebt und auf Papier gestempelt. Die Figuren habe ich dabei in Einzelteile zerlegt. Körper, Arme und Beine können so je nach Sitation zusammengefügt werden. Dann wird alles Gestempelte gescannt, farblich angepasst und digital collagiert mit gescanntem Packpapier. Wo es nötig war, habe ich noch ein wenig lineare Zeichnung oder Farbflächen hinzugefügt. Dieser ganze Arbeitsprozess hat mir sehr viel Spaß gemacht!

Disassembled characters
In the end, I cut out the characters and objects from rubber foam, glued them on building blocks and stamped them on white paper. For the characters I made body, arm and leg stamps so they can be put together as needed. I scanned the stamped motifs, then digitally color matched and collaged them an scanned wrapping paper. Also added a bit of linear drawing and color spots where necessary. This whole working process was really fun!

Personajes desmontadas
Al final recorté los personajes y objetos de goma eva. Los pegué en bloques de construcción y los estampé en papel blanco. Para los personajes hice sellos de cuerpo, brazo y pierna por separado, para que luego se puedan juntar como sea necesario. Escaneé todos los motivos estampados. Luego ajusté los colores digitalmente y creé un paisaje de papel escaneado. También agregó un poco de dibujo linear y areas de color donde hacia falta. Me encantó todo el proceso!
Das Märchen vom kleinen Hasen Tabalet
In der Geschichte geht es um den kleinen Hasen Tabalet. Er soll einen Moment allein in der Hasenhöhle bleiben, während seine Mama etwas erledigen muss. Auf keinen Fall darf er allein hinaushoppeln! Aber allein in der Höhle ist es irgendwann furchtbar langweilig. Vogel und Frosch kommen vorbei und rufen ihn zum Spielen. Und noch jemand anderes ruft ihn. Schließlich verlässt Tabalet die Hasenhöhle und dann passiert etwas ganz Schreckliches… Aber keine Angst, es ist ja ein Märchen und am Ende wird alles gut!

The tale of Tabalet
The story is about a little rabbit called Tabalet. His mother tells him to stay in the rabbit’s den while she needs to go out. By no means should he leave the den. But at some point alone in the den it gets dreadfiully boring. Bird and frog come along and call him to play. And someone else is calling him too. Somebody new… Finally Tabalet leaves the rabbit’s den and then something terrible happens… But don’t worry: it’s a fairytale and in the end everything will be fine!

El cuento del conejito Tabalet
El cuento va sobre el conejito Tabalet. Debería quedarse solo en casa minetras su mama tiene que salir para un trámite. De ninguna manera debe salir. Pero solo en la guarida, es muy aburrido. Pajarito y rana le llaman para salir a jugar. Y alguien más los está llamando también. Finalmente, Tabalet está curioso y sale. Y claro que si, algo terrible sucede… Pero no te preocupes, es un cuento y al final todo estará bien!
Da die letzten beiden Jahre mit weiteren Bastelbüchern wie im Nu vergingen, komme ich erst in letzter Zeit wieder dazu, ein aktuelles Illustrations-Portfolio zu erstellen. Da mir die Bilder auch jetzt noch richtig gut gefallen, möchte ich unbedingt mehr Bilder stempeln und mit digitaler Collage experimentieren.

Since the last two years passed in no time while I was writing more kidscraft book, I have only lately come back to creating a current illustration portfolio. As I really love this pictures, I would like to continue experimenting with stamped characters and scanned backgrounds.

Los últimos dos años pasaron muy rápidos escribiendo más libros de manualidades. Ùltimamente he vuelto a crear un portfolio de ilustraciones. Como realmente me encantan estas imágenes del Tabalet, me gustaría continuar experimentando con caracteres estampados y fondos escaneados.
